About Me

My name is Ms. Schmahl, and I have lived in Mt. Zion since 2017. I have 2 kids; Naomi - a Senior, and Noah - a Freshman. I also am living life with my 2 dogs; Halle, a mini golden doodle, and our newest addition - Bentley, a cockapoo. They both follow me everywhere and are my personal bodyguards. lol

I have 8 years experience as a librarian: 3 in Moweaqua at the Public Library, 1 year at Mt Zion District Library, and being my fourth year as the High School Librarian - I love my job! I graduated from Central A&M and attended Richland where I received my Associate in Arts degree while majoring in Graphic Design. After working for GSI in their marketing department, I became a stay-at-home mom and worked as a freelance designer for New Life Pregnancy Center for 15 yrs.

My hobbies include anything that involves designing & creating... coloring, painting chalkboard signs, making logos, cricut signs, and websites! My favorite app to waste time on is Happy Color. 

I also enjoy audiobooks, traveling, and anything outdoors (as long as it's warm)!
