About Me

My name is Ms. Schmahl and I live in Mt. Zion. I have 2 kids; Naomi - a Junior, and Noah - an 8th grader. Mr. Kusak (yep, the 5th grade Intermediate teacher) and his son Elijah are also a part of my family. Halle, my mini golden doodle, follows me everywhere and is my personal bodyguard. lol

I have 7 years experience as a librarian: 3 in Moweaqua at the Public Library, 1 year at Mt Zion District Library, and being my third year as the High School Librarian - I love my job! I graduated from Central A&M and attended Richland where I received my Associate in Arts degree while majoring in Graphic Design. After working for GSI in their marketing department, I became a stay at home mom and worked as a freelance designer for New Life Pregnancy Center for 15 yrs.

My hobbies include anything that involves designing & creating... coloring, painting chalkboard signs, making logos, cricut signs, and websites! My favorite app to waste time on is Happy Color. 

I also enjoy reading, traveling and anything outdoors (as long as it's warm)!
